Susan and Leslie collaborated on these amazing birds as part of the smalls exchange for the Stitching in the Wild Retreat, hosted by GaRon Stitchery. The two sisters each brought their own creative talents to the table - Susan stitched the birds and Leslie added the beautiful finishing touches with her crocheted edging and delicate flowers.

The night sky is glittering as there are still millions of miniscule droplets of water in the air reflecting the light (32 ct white opalescent evenweave by Zweigart). There are drops of water on the bridge (Miyuki 15/0 beads) and the canal is filled to the brim and slightly dripping ..."
I love the modifications that Sylvia made! She purposely left off the bottom motif because it reminded her of shark teeth this way! One even has "a little bling in it." Perfection!

Roxy Floss Co. Conversion: • Blustery • Falu Red
• Used a real needle. • Filled in the bobbin hole. • Satin stitch entire bobbin using 2 strands. • Then satin stitch diagonally 4 stitches and leave a tail.
Called for except DMC 470 was used instead of DMC 18. She also used white for the bobbin and added some backstitching in 3799. For the needle she used 3 strands of DMC E415 for a more metallic look.
